Halloween parties, Art Exhibitions, and the largest pride parade in Asia
Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. The dressing up, the candy, the indulging in horror stories, what’s not to like. Since halloween is on a Wednesday this year, a majority of events will take place the weekend before. This year however there’s more than just spooky parties; Taipei will also be celebrating the annual pride parade, and Art Taipei, an annual art exhibit that displays works by hundreds of artists.
All Weekend
Art Taipei 2018 Oct 26 – Oct 29
Location: Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1

Price: 350NTD for one day, 500NTD for two days.
Art Taipei is an annual event and will be open all weekend. This years theme ‘Indefinite Museum’ explores the use of new platforms to display art.
Monster City
Location: Omni

Time: 10:30pm to 4:30am
Price: Boys 50% off / Girls free before 12am with full body costume
Omni is hosting a halloween party on both days of the weekend. Stop by to check out costumes and dance the night away. On the same floor of the club, find Taipei’s hottest bars, KOR, for a change in scenery and delicious cocktails.
Friday, 26 October
Halloween at Triangle
Location: Triangle
Address: No. 1, Yumen Street, Zhongshan District
Time: 10:00pm to 04:00pm
Price: 400 NTD – Open bar before midnight and 1 drink after.
Triangle is set in an open-air park where you’ll no doubt find people partying inside the warehouse-like club and hanging out outside. It’s a great area to explore, bar hop, and meet people from all over the world.
Chess Halloween: 喝一碗孟婆湯，走一回奈何橋
Location: Chess
Address: No. 88 Songren Road, B1 (Neo 19)
Time: 10:30pm to 04:30am
Chess nightclub hosts a more hip-hop oriented scene. Located close to 101, it’s a great place to keep the party going.
Bangin On the Rafters 敲屋頂 : Bumpin Pumpkins
Location: Pipe Live Music
Address: No. 1, Siyuan St, Zhongzheng District
Time: 11:00pm
Price: 300NTD before 12, 400NTD after 12.
To the south of Taipei, Pipe’s party will be a hip hop and bass fusion by the river. This year they’re celebrating with a halloween costume competition AND a rap battle.

FormosaPride 2018 Taipei
Location: Parade starts at Kaida Gran Avenue
Time: 2:30pm
Price: Free
Asia’s largest pride parade happens every year in Taipei. It’s a beautiful day filled with color, dancing, music, and more. Follow the parade for a couple hours in the afternoon, meet people, and then hit up the many pride parade after-parties.
Resurrected Halloween Party
Location: Tiger Mountain

Time: 9:00pm – 5:00am

Tiger Mountain is an open-air area sporting a disco, 10 DJs, a photobooth and THREE costume contests. If you’re looking for something other than bars and clubs, this is the place to be.
The Undead: A Vampire’s Ball

For true halloween vibes check out Drunk Cafe this weekend for a vampire and gothic themed party. There’s going to be a vampire photo booth, a black magic entertainer, and many more.
AI Halloween

AI is Taipei’s newest club in Xinyi and they do it big every weekend. Check it out this halloween for a party I’m sure won’t disappoint.
Ghost Club Discodrama #1: Halloween Edition
Location: AMPM Studio

Playing a mix of disco, house, techno, and funk AMPM will be a cool place to start the night. Did we mention they’re half a skate park in their bar/cafe? After the party at AMPM continue on with their Ghost Club party at B1.

If you ever went to Korner and was sad about the residents changing, they’ve opened a new club in Taipei called B1, and are throwing a halloween bash that opens till early morning.
